MEET THE MAESTROS

Nana Urigaeva

Nana's diverse background—from ballroom dancing to the Georgia Karate Championship—infuses her dance and teaching with a unique energy. Her deep love for music and her experience as a world-class DJ add an electrifying touch to the dance floor.

Demetrio Scafaria

Demetrio's journey from Reggio Calabria to Buenos Aires and beyond has transformed him into a master of connection, musicality, and fun. With a deep understanding of the social and emotional richness of tango, he is able to convey to dancers his passion, intensity, and the importance of dancing with authentic sensitivity.

Francesco Maria Paglionico

For Francesco, tango is a dialogue made of movement, listening, and improvisation. He started dancing in his teenage years and, after a path of study and growth, began teaching while performing at various major festivals. In his teaching, his goal is not only to transmit technique but to provide tools to make every tango unique and personal.

Tamaki Casellato

She began her journey as a dancer at the age of five, combining the study of classical and modern dance with tango, a passion passed down from her parents. After years of training and artistic growth and a wonderful stay in Buenos Aires, she chooses to dedicate herself to teaching with the aim of transmitting to others the love for dance and the awareness of their own body, and to offer a space for personal discovery and expression of the deeper parts of oneself.

Elena Bertagna

She discovered tango in Bern, starting a journey that led her to study with masters in Europe and Buenos Aires. She trained at the Metro Tango Academy of Excellence in Rome, obtaining a technical qualification, and has primarily taught in Turin. Today, she directs the Luna Negra school and milonga in Bern.

Paolo Lombardo

He discovered tango in France and chose to fully dedicate himself to training, studying in Europe and Buenos Aires. He obtained a technical qualification at the Metro Tango Academy of Excellence in Rome and, together with Elena, directed a tango school in Turin. Upon returning to Switzerland, he founded the Luna Negra school and cultural center in Bern, where he combines his musical and artistic experience with tango teaching.

Gianpiero Galdi

He fell in love with tango at 15 during a trip to Buenos Aires and has been studying with great masters ever since. He became a teacher at a very young age and began performing in Italy and abroad, collaborating with internationally renowned dancers such as Mila Vigdorova, Corina Herrera, Cesira Miceli, Nadia Hronidu, and Maria Filali.

He has managed the teaching of the GTango association in Salerno and led a tango project at the University of Salerno for ten years. His method combines musical, engineering, and biomechanics studies.

Graduated in Motor Sciences and Gyrotonic trainer. Since 2017, he has been the president of the Tangere association and company.

Lorena Tarantino

She has been studying dance since childhood and discovered tango at 17 years old at Gianpiero's school. Under his guidance, she embarks on a professional path: since 2015, she has trained with internationally renowned teachers and began teaching and performing with Giovanni Cocomero, participating in projects promoted by Gianpiero such as “Tangotherapy” in schools at risk of dropout and “Tango at the University of Salerno.”

Since 2019, she has been a Gyrokinesis Trainer and in 2021 she graduated with a thesis on the pedagogical and inclusive value of tango in adolescence. In 2018, the artistic partnership with Gianpiero was born, based on connection, educational research, and an increasingly deep, communicative, and expressive approach to the art of tango.
